After the Abarth 500e 2023 made its debut as the first electrical scorpion, the second prank is now followed with the Abarth 600E. This revolutionary model is the result in which not only the experts from Abarth, but also the engineers of Stellantis Motorsport were involved. The vehicle is available in two versions from the Swiss dealers: as Abarth 600e Turismo with 240 hp and as a limited “Scorpionissima” edition with 280 hp. The Scorpionissima Edition, limited to 1,949 pieces, is a tribute to the founding year of the brand.

Built to be the most powerful Abarth

The heart of the new Abarth 600E is his newly developed electric motor. The aggregate was tested on the test bench of Formula E with a real route simulator. In addition, the Scorpionissima with an acceleration from 0 to 100 in 5.85 seconds and the Turismo with an acceleration from 0 to 100 in 6.24 seconds are quick and reactive. In addition, the car offers a torque of 345 Nm and can achieve a top speed limited to 200 km/h with a battery range of up to 321 km WLTP combination cycle, depending on the tire equipment.

Other highlights of the new Abarth 600E include the brakes developed together with Alcon, which come from racing. In addition, the new Abarth 600e has the mechanical Torsen blocking differential from JTEKT, which offers a better lane, improved handling, traction in curves and security in slippery conditions. The effect of the blocking differential is supported by tires developed specifically for the new Abarth 600e Scorpionissima, which build on technology from Formula E.

With their expertise in racing, the experts from Abarth Motorsport and Stellantis Motorsport also paid special attention to other key elements in order to lead this demanding electric vehicle project to success. They have increased the rigidity of the suspension and reinforced the chassis with a rear stabilizer that changes the rolling balance by increasing the overall stiffness of the rear stabilizer.

The ABARTH 600E cooling system with high -performance coolant pump shifts the limits of the battery discharge, which could restrict the performance of the vehicle. The racing sports spirit is also expressed when sitting from Sabelt, ensuring performance, dynamics and driving support.

Three driving modes for each requirement

Both versions of the new Abarth 600E are equipped with three driving modes. The Turismo mode offers a gentler acceleration and 110 kW performance for the Abarth 600e Turismo and 140 kW for the Scorpionissima, combined with a torque of 300 Nm for an entertaining and efficient driving experience with a top speed limited to 150 km/h. This configuration also has sporty accelerator pedalumbration, sporty steering calibration and a standard ESP calibration. In addition to these characteristics, the second driving mode, Scorpion Street, offers an output of 150 kW for the Turismo model and 170 kW for the Scorpionissima with a torque of 345 Nm and a top speed limited to 180 km/h. The third driving mode, Scorpion Track, includes an aggressive accelerator pedalumbration, a sportier steering and “fun” ESP votes. The Scorpion Track Configuration is the way Abarth has the most fun, with top performance on race days with a top speed of 200 km/h, 345 Nm torque and a higher output of 207 kW (280 hp) for the Abarth 600e Scorpionissima and 175 kW (240 hp) for the Turismo version.

Designed for performance: the outer of the new Abarth 600E

The design of the exterior was inspired by two main topics: The first is inspired by the past and interprets the contrast, which is created by the large, brutally angular volume of the front cooler of the Abarth 850 TC, which he owes his nickname “cassette tone” and gives it a very sporty and emotional effect. The second topic revolves around square geometry with strong graphics that are inspired by the world of games and the digital world and consist of inclined lines that are engraved into the surfaces and become a grille in the air intake. This logic of the shape and processing can also be found on the rear bumper in order to reinforce the resulting effect.

In addition, Abarth has decided to particularly stand out by working on four elements: the front and rear bumper catchers, the spoiler and the wheels. At the front, the engineers and designers stretched the silhouette, emphasized the so-called “shark nose”, improved the aerial operance and thus awarded the specific bumper a characteristic volume and the three-dimensional Abarth label. The front view is also the result of a deeper setting and a wider track with an additional 30 mm front and additional 25 mm at the rear. The strongly angular shapes of the aero spoiler and the outlet valve in the bumper were tested in the wind tunnel to improve the performance of the new Abarth 600E. The 20-inch diamond alloy wheels are a real eye-catcher: the 5-spoke alloy wheels are designed in such a way that they take up the stylized graphics of the scorpion spell and offer a look at the sporty brakes and brake calipers between their wide gaps. In addition, the wheel cap is inspired by mono screws and has a modern faceted design. The electrified scorpion, which already debuted 500e in the Abarth, also shapes this model and enriches a few external places: In addition to the logos on the fenders and the Abarth emblem on the bonnet, the popular scorpion appears on the center line, engraved into the black surfaces of the front and rear bumps and the spoiler. In addition to the Abarth 600E Turismo, the limited scorpionissima edition will be equipped with a shiny black body kit, a special side sticker and colored front brake caliper.

The Abarth 600e Turismo will be available in the exciting colors Acid Green (green), an allusion to the acid of the gifts, antidote white (white), shock orange and venom black (black); The limited edition of the Scorpionissima will be available in Acid Green and the exclusive Hypnotic Purple (Violet), which was inspired by the hypnotic effect after a puncture.

The outer of the new Abarth 600E provides only a small insight into the attractiveness of the new electric model, because the interior completes the design. The dark interior, which is also the main topic in the interior, is determined by the black A, B and C-pillars, the headlining, the roof cladding and the decorative strips. However, the dark decorative strips are highlighted by colored details such as the seams or the attractive, yet threatening scorpion on the steering wheel. The uniqueness of the new Abarth 600E is achieved by specific decisions such as a special seat, covered with aluminum, covered pedals, foot supports and foot mats with the Scorpionissima, which thanks to its tinted windows preserves its mysterious and dark character. From the start page, drivers can be forwarded to the special performance pages: On the “Torque Management” page, you can check the torque of the wheel in real time and adjust the acceleration to the respective weather and off-road conditions; On the “Technical Gauges” page, drivers always have all technical information at hand; On the “Race Gauges” page, drivers have a timer and a G-diagram available so that they can feel like a Formula E driver. In addition, only the Scorpionissima has a sound generator that can be switched on and off during the journey via the infotainment start page: the volume is higher and more conveniently at a sporty driving way at a constant speed due to the limited variation of the accelerator. In addition, the exhaust sound was enriched with a deeper sound at high speeds, which is less loud in the interior and also “rounder and steamed”. For the first time in the history of the brand, Abarth will offer a special integrated support with the Chatgpt solution for generative AI, which is implemented in the new Abarth 600E. The new model will support and inspire its drivers by combining the existing networked services for both the vehicle functions and for the driving experience. In fact, through this technology, drivers can speak with their voice assistant in a natural and fluid way, get tips and learn everything they need while driving. By introducing this new function in its vehicles, Abarth offers the best and safest user experience, whereby the data of the customers is always completely protected. The networked services also support users in remote control when it comes to the central closing of the doors, switching on the light, the horn, thermal pre -reduction or programming the battery on the home charging station.

During the ABARTH 600E trip, drivers can enjoy their trips thanks to the identification of the most suitable EV route, which is provided by the connected services and the TomTom support.
